Museo per tutti

Since 2017, the National Roman Museum has been involved in the Museo per tutti project developed by the ‘l’abilità Onlus’ association in cooperation and with the support of the Fondazione De Agostini, for people with intellectual disabilities. The project encompasses not only training for personnel from the Museum’s Educational Service on various aspects of intellectual disability and on the most effective techniques to accommodate visitors while respecting their different abilities, but also the creation of a guide using facilitated language to guarantee access to culture for all people with intellectual disabilities and their caregivers.
The guide was introduced in May 2019 and is available for the Palazzo Altemps site from the Museum’s ticket office and in digital format from the Museum’s website. Guides and visit routes are currently being developed for the other sites of the National Roman Museum.
