The story of its recovery"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>After 77 years the statue of the<strong> Young girl with a dove<\/strong> has returned to the <strong>Baths of Diocletian<\/strong>.<\/h2>\n<h3>Thanks to a long investigation conducted by the <strong>Protection of Cultural Heritage\u00a0Department of the Carabinieri<\/strong> and an international effort between <strong>Italy<\/strong> and <strong>Switzerland<\/strong>, the small bronze statue of a young woman with a dove in her hand was recovered.<\/h3>\n<p>Made in <strong>Norba<\/strong> between the 4th and 3rd centuries BC for the goddess <strong>Giunone Lucina<\/strong>, protector of gestation and birth, it was illegally stolen from the Museum in 1943, in the midst of the Second World War.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After 77 years the statue of the Young girl with a dove has returned to the Baths of Diocletian.
